After another baby dies after being left in a hot car, a mother recounts a mistake that might have cost her daughter's life.

Get an abortion, kill an innocent person-to-be, fine. Leave a helpless child to die, so sorry, I'm aRead More woman, not my fault. It's amazing how many females get away for crimes that would land a typical man in jail. War on Women, NOT! Do overs, yes, and yes again. When will these childish, stupid femmes grow up and really care about their creations? In suburbia, not anytime soon...

Rebecca, you said something about people are distracted and make mistakes ....yeah he wasRead More distracted ....the ugly looking moron was sexting (spelling) other women while his kid was dying...dying at the hands of his selfish father and cowardly mother....if the women he was communicating with could only see him! Yeah you get ripped for looking stupid and fat if you do something like this because people want to identify him with something ugly. We as a society have to have stern consequences for people like this....an eye for an eye...put them in a hot car and air it on Saturday night!
Deerfield Resident July 10, 2014 at 01:20 pm
The govt. needs to stay out of this subject too. Raising minimum wage causes a ripple affect forRead More all other positions. If you give an entry level position more money, every layer above that wants to be increased to "be fair" - otherwise those people will be upset. You know you liberals always scream about being fair!!! Here's another thought.....you can't raise a family and live the "high life" working at McDonalds. If that's the only job you can get, you better plan to live on a very tight budget stop punching out kids every year, that we pay for, and go to night school so you can get a better job! This is the land of opportunity - if you work for it......NOT the land of hand-outs if you don't!!!! This is your basic argument between liberals and conservatives......liberals want to provide fish for free in exchange for votes...conservatives want to give you a pole and teach you how to fish.

Ok let me figure this out. If I get a job at minimum wage $8.25 an hour that would be about $17,000Read More a year How much would I have to earn to pay my way and get off the system? If I don't get a job I can stay on link ,section 8 housing, Medicare ,free Obama phone , free electricity free cooking & heating gas, free bus fare and all that other good free stuff. Hmmm, why get a job then. Let ALL the working people pay for all my free stuff when the government takes it out on their taxes. I do feel sorry for those that are working 40 hours a week. That are getting minimum-wage and trying to get off the system but there is not much incentive. Why get a minimum wage job? When you can make more money sitting at home doing nothing, as opposed to trying to live on minimum wage. All these companies are cutting back employees hours so they do not have to provide them with medical. Some companies are even giving employees information as where to file for government help. These big companies do not want to increase the minimum wage. They want everyone else to pay for their benefits via Welfare.
Leroy July 10, 2014 at 01:25 pm
The true problem is not the minimum wage- it's the fact that our dollar continues to lose its value.Read More Whenever our gov't prints more dollar bills and circulates them into the economy, the value of our dollar diminishes. Increasing the minimum wage is a "Band-Aid" approach to a long term problem. Unfortunately, there is a large segment of our society that cannot connect cause/effect. Show your employer why you deserve a raise instead of voting for a politician who will force an employer to make changes that might not be in the business's best interest.

There's two things that keep Michael Madigan in power. First is his daughter, the Illinois AttorneyRead More General, who just cannot seem to uncover any Corruption; despite Illinois seeing a Governor, a Congressman, Cook County Board Commissioner and other Elected Politicians go to jail during her tenure in the office. Second is the Democrat State Representatives, who Continually Elect Madigan as Speaker prior to doing "business" for the next two years. The First question Any Democrat State Representative Incumbent or Candidate should be asked is if they would Vote for Madigan to be Speaker once again if the voters send them to Springfield, and if so, why?

Just got this email this morning. Where did the state get 2.5 million to give Naperville for yetRead More another sports complex ? ________________ From the Desk of Naperville Park District’s Executive Director Ray McGury Dear friend of the Naperville Park District: I’m pleased to inform you that earlier this week, Governor Pat Quinn announced the awarding of a $2.5 million grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to support the Naperville Park District’s construction of an Activity Center. As you’re probably aware, the District has been working diligently on this project. It began in 2013 with soliciting public feedback and demonstrating a need for a year-round facility that will support recreation for people of all ages, families, those with special needs and our senior residents. The Activity Center, which will be located at the corner of Quincy Avenue and Fort Hill Drive, also will encourage health and wellness for all ages, provide a place for teens to connect and address the recreational and social needs of our increasingly diverse population. Some of the planned Activity Center spaces include: • Sports courts • Gymnastics studio • Fitness spaces • Indoor playground • Indoor track • Café • Multi-purpose rooms for programs/events Currently, staff is working with the architect and engineering team to design the Activity Center; a draft concept can be found at www.napervilleparks.org/activitycenter. The remainder of this year will focus on design and permitting, with construction beginning in spring 2015. I know I speak for both the park board and staff when I say that this is a project that we’re very excited about and we look forward to providing residents with updates as the project progresses. Sincerely, Ray McGury Executive Director

So heres lookin at ya drink up and put that cigarette out before ya kill somebody with second hand smoke and just use a car.

Brian, why are you so mean-spirited? I posted something in this thread, and now I am receiving allRead More the comments you post. And it seems you are quite an angry and intolerant person.
