i'm not really sure what sandra is talking about, because i've never had a residency check or heardRead More of one at any public park, or heard of anyone who has or knows of anyone who has. i've also never seen anyone picked out of a viewing area at a fireworks display and told to leave for no apparent reason. i do believe that when an increasingly higher percentage of residents have issue with local government, it is often because elected officials have come to think they were elected to do what they think they should, as opposed to what residents think they should. if there is a lesson here, it is that votors need to pay close and ongoing attention to who is doing what in local government.

It is not fair to say that those who oppose this project are simply doing it out of discriminationRead More or "fear of the unknown". Like one of the commentators on the related article mentioned, Palatine has already made a great effort to provide a large quantity of affordable housing and services available to those with disabilities. However, in the case of this particular project, the proposed location just does not fit.
