Immanuel Lutheran Wins Bobcat Challenge

The boys' varsity basketball team from Immanuel Lutheran School, Palatine, catured first place at the Bobcat Challenge this past weekend.

The boys’ varsity basketball team from Immanuel Lutheran School-Palatine captured
first place at the Bobcat Challenge, held Jan. 26-27, in Palatine.  In the championship game, the host Bobcats outlasted St. Mary-Buffalo Grove in a thrilling 42-38 victory.  Eight parochial school teams from the north and northwest suburbs participated in the tournament.  To reach the championship game, the Bobcats defeated Holy Family-Inverness (40-11) and St. James-Arlington Heights (38-21).  The Bobcats are now 19-2 on the season.
