Fremd's Jennifer Kim will be competing at the IHSA AA State Girls Golf Tournament this weekend.
Kim, a junior, is among the top high school golfers in the state to qualify for the tournament that takes place Friday and Saturday at Hickory Point Golf Club in Decatur
Kim came out of the Buffalo Grove sectional, at which Fremd finished fifth as a team. Kim shot a 79—equaling the sixth-lowest score shot at the sectional.
Friday's first-round tee times are set. Kim will begin on the back nine at 10:09 a.m. in a group with Galesburg freshman Taylor Nesselroad, Highland Park senior Liza Kraff and Zion-Benton sophomore Morgan Kukla.
