Districts 15 and 211 and Harper College Cancel Classes Monday Due to Extreme Cold

Sub zero temperatures expected for Monday have resulted in the cancelation of school for Districts 15 and 211. Harper College has also canceled classes.

Schools in Districts 15 and 211 will be closed Monday, Jan. 27.

District 15 Alert:

Due to the extreme low temperatures that are expected, all District 15 schools will be closed on Monday, Jan. 27.

C.A.R.E. and all after-school activities are also cancelled. However, school buildings may be open for regularly scheduled meetings. Please check with your organization or the school for possible weather-related cancellations.

District 211 Alert:

Due to extreme weather conditions and the danger this could create for our students, all classes in District 211 will be canceled on Monday, Jan. 27.

All special programs are also canceled in addition to all athletic competitions.

Optional practices may be held for varsity teams between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Please check with your coach for additional information and continue to monitor the websites for additional information.

Harper College Alert:

Due to the extreme cold, all three Harper College campuses will be closed on Monday, Jan. 27. All classes and events are canceled and college offices will also be closed.

From Palatine Park District: All PPD facilities will be open on Monday. There will be no preschool. Stables lessons will be moved indoors. Programs and practices scheduled to take place at schools will be canceled. Visit www.palatineparks.org for further updates.
