Palatine School Closings, Other Area Closings

Get information on school and other area closings for Monday, Jan. 6, as a result of the sub zero temperatures.

Palatine Park District 

All Palatine Park District facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 6.


Harper College
All classes and events are canceled and college offices will be closed on Monday.

District 211
Township High School District 211 has canceled classes for Monday, according to its Facebook page. In addition, all athletic competitions, practices and activity events scheduled for Monday have also been canceled.

District 15
Students in Community Consolidated School District 15 will get an extra day of winter break. School has been canceled due to the sub zero temperatures expected on Monday.

The school district released the following information on its website:

Due to the extreme low temperatures that are expected, all District 15 schools will be closed on Monday, January 6, 2014.

C.A.R.E. and all after-school activities utilizing late activity buses are also cancelled. However, school buildings may be open for regularly scheduled meetings. Please check with your organization or the school for possible weather-related cancellations.

Also closed: A Plus Day School; Kirk School (NSSEO); New Connections Academy; Quest Academy; St. Theresa School; St. Thomas of Villanova School.
