Fremd Takes Second at Lincoln Way Invite

Fremd Varsity Girls Gymnastics Team placed second at the Lincoln Way Invite, in Frankfort.

Fremd, with a team score of 144.775, was narrowly out scored by Glenbard North in the team competition which posted a 145.275. Fremd was pleased with the strong showing after a week marked by the loss of two team leaders, Stephanie Gallo and Anna Johnson with injuries.

Fremd took first place in the team competition in bars (35.7). Freshman Sydney Plichta placed 1st with a 9.5 followed by juniors, Emily Pinderski, in 3rd with an 8.9 and Mary Smaga (5th) with an 8.7.

Fremd also placed first on Beam with a combined score of (36.25). Freshman Sydney Plichta placed first on beam with a score of 9.3.

Fremd took second on the Vault with a score of (36.925). Fremd junior, Shannon Lemajeur scored a 9.5 and placed third.

Fremd finished third on floor with a (35.85)

Fremd junior, Shannon Lemajeur placed 5th in the all around competition for Fremd with a score of 35.55.

The Fremd varsity team members are: Stephanie Uhrich, Elizabeth Uhrich, Kelly Bobereck, Stephanie Gallo, Anna Johnson, Mary Smaga, Shannon Lemajeur, Emily Penderski, Christine Jensen, Sydney Plichta, Chrissy Radochonski and Emily Neal.

The Fremd Ladies Gymnastics team is coached by Tim Hammam, Elise Ference, Larry Petrillo and Kevin Jost.

Fremd Freshman win Conant Invite

Saturday was also the Conant Freshman Invite. Fremd freshman, Lauren Shoaf was the All Around Champion, followed by Jenna Schnieder (2nd) from Fremd and Morgan Anderson (3rd) from Palatine.
