State of the Union Watch Party at Durty Nellie's Tuesday

Northwest Suburbs Organizing for Action invites the public to its State of the Union watch party at Durty Nellie's in Palatine Tuesday.

Northwest Suburbs Organizing for Action (NWSOFA) is hosting a State of the Union watch party at Durty Nellie's in Palatine, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

There is no charge to get in, but an RSVP is appreciated. CLICK HERE to register.

"We’ve had more than 100 people at these events in past years," said Matt Flamm, a NWSOFA member.

The event's emcee will be Sara Salvato Horan, Chapter Co-Lead of NWSOFA.

A cash bar and food will be available. Parking will be available in the Durty Nellie's lot, in the parking garage next-door and across the street at the Palatine Metra station.

Leaders from various NWSOFA issue teams including including ACA, Gun Violence Prevention, Climate Change, Immigration Reform, Stand with Women and Fiscal Issues, will speak prior to President Obama's speech, which begins at 8 p.m.

NFSOFA s a non-partisan, volunteer organization that focuses on progressive issues which members are committed to taking action on, to make a difference locally, statewide and nationally. The organization celebrated its one-year anniversary this month.
