Palatine Township Republicans Hold Gubernatorial Straw Poll

At a picnic meeting, Republicans in Palatine Township held a straw poll for governor.

The Palatine Township Republican Organization (PTRO), the official Republican organization of Palatine Township, held a straw poll for the gubernatorial race at its first annual pig roast fundraiser  Sunday, according to a new release. There were 125 people at the event who participated in the people's choice for governor vote.

“It was a two man race,” said Aaron Del Mar, Palatine Township Republican Committeeman.  “Bruce Rauner eked out a close victory over Kirk Dillard.  Rauner picked up 50% of the vote while Dillard had 47.5%.  Brady and Rutherford had 1.25% of the vote a piece.” The Palatine Township Republican Organization holds their monthly general meeting on the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 AM at the PTRO office at 839 N. Quentin Road in Palatine.  For further information on the Palatine Township Republican Organization, membership, any of their sponsored events or to join their email newsletter visit their web site at www.palatinerepublicans.org, call them at 847-496-7871 or email them at aaron@palatinerepublicans.org.
