Online Transparency Audit Highlights Palatine Government

In its audit, the Illinois Policy Institute looked at access to contact information online as well as public meetings, public records and more.

Palatine High School District 211 received a passing grade for government transparency online from a recent Illinois Policy Institute audit as did the village of Palatine while Palatine District 15 did not, according to a Daily Herald analysis.

The Daily Herald analysis found of the 102 suburban government agencies in the audit, 70 had scores of 60 percent or below, including, Palatine District 15, which received a score of 54.6, and Palatine Park District, which received a score of 45.6.

The Palatine High School District received a score of 82.6 out of 100, the village of Palatine received a score of 75.9 and Cook County had a score of 65.2, according to the Daily Herald.
