A new full-service dine-in theater, equipped with a full bar, plans to move in and take over the by late spring to early summer accoring to Arlington Heights officials.
The Village of Arlington Heights announced Friday a lease agreement has been finalized between Star Cinema Grill and LNR Partners, the property owner at 53 S. Evergreen Avenue.
Houston-based company, Star Cinema Grill plans to remodel the old Arlington Theaters to open a dine-in theater with a full service bar in Arlington Town Square.
At its three other locations, Star Cinema Grill presents first-run film releases and provides seat-side service to moviegoers. The theater/restaurant offers an extensive menu with a wide selection of beer, wine, and spirits served to guests as they sit back and enjoy the show.
The new theater is expected to employ up to 120 local residents during peak summer months, according to the statement released Friday.
As Patch previously reported, negotiations to fill the vacancy began in November, about four months after Arlington Theaters closed its doors.
Now that the rental agreement has been finalized, Star Cinema Grill and LNR Partners need to obtain permits from the village to remodel and open the new theater.
Over the next few months Star Cinema Grill and LNR Partners will work with the Village of Arlington Heights to secure the necessary , officials said.
Star Cinema Grill will then start to remodel the theater, introducing new seating, décor, a full kitchen, and a state of the art digital entertainment system.
According to the release, Star Cinema Grill's overall goal is to provide every guest with an unforgettable experience through unmatched service, the highest quality food and beverages, and a flawless film presentation.
