Man Had Gun At McDonald's – For Caulk

Teens Made Bomb With Toliet Cleaner

Two teens were charged with after they used toilet cleaner and foil paper to create a "bomb" on July 28, police said.

Officers responded to an around 4:18 p.m. When they arrived they located several teens playing outside. One of the suspects told police "he made a MacGyver [type] bomb and threw it across the street," the police report states.  

When police spoke to the teenagers they told them they did not know the report states.

Men Sentenced In Child Pornography Case

Lubos Albrecht, 25, formerly of Lockport, was sentenced today to 12 years and seven months in prison for . Bruce R. Biehler, 56, formerly of Arlington Heights, was sentenced Wednesday to seven years and three months in federal prison .

Men With Guns Invade Home

An Evanston man to find three young men brandishing guns on Wednesday afternoon, according to police. 

The three men confronted the 21-year-old victim around 2:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue, police reported. 

Two women and three children were also home when the four offenders arrived, according to police. Witnesses reported hearing the men , and described them as being in their late teens or early twenties. After two people in the home escaped through a window, the young men with guns ran away, police reported. No one was injured.
