Palatine Police Plan Safety Check For June 17

The Palatine Police department will be using saturation patrols through the 4th of July holiday.

The Palatine Police Department is planning a roadside safety check Friday, June 17 near Algonquin and Roselle Roads.

The safety check will begin in the early evening hours and continue through the early morning hours of Saturday, June 18. The safety check is part of the Illinois Department of Transportation's "Click it or Ticket" campaign.

Palatine has received grant funding from the state to participate in the 4th of July Holiday Safety Traffic Crackdown. The department will saturate roadways focusing on impaired drivers, occupant protection and speeding, according to a press release from the department.
