Palatine Police Plan Labor Day DUI Crackdown

The Palatine Police Department will crackdown on DUIs between Aug. 16 and Sept. 2.

The Palatine Police Department will participate in the Labor Day Holiday Traffic Safety Crackdown from Aug. 16 through Sept. 2.

The department will use grant funding from the Illinois Department of Transportation to saturate roadways with extra officers, focusing on impaired drivers and safety belt usage, a press release from the department states.

The department also will conduct a Roadside Safety Check Aug. 23 into the early morning hours of Aug. 24. The safety check will take place near the intersection of Algonquin and Roselle roads.
