Palatine Police Blotter: Two thefts at YMCA, DUI Arrests and More

Car Window Smash, Purse Stolen at YMCA Parking Lot

In the parking lot of the YMCA, the driver side rear window of a 2013 silver Dodge Durango was broken out and a beige purse containing makeup was taken along with a pink bag that had three gift cards inside. The burglary occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 in the parking lot of the YMCA at 1400 W. Northwest Highway.

Another vehicle was burglarized in the YMCA parking lot Friday, Oct. 12 between 10:15 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. The rear window of a green Honda Odyssey was smashed and a black Vera Bradley women’s handbag was taken from the vehicle.

iPad Stolen from Car

An Apple iPad was stolen from a black Oldsmobile sedan sometime between Oct. 4 and Oct. 7. The victim was unsure if the vehicle was locked, no signs of forced entry.

DUI Arrest

Natalie N. Parcheta, 29, of Barrington, was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop around 2:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. Traveling northbound on Quentin Road from Colfax to Northwest Highway, Parcheta was pulled over and charged with DUI, DUI with blood alcohol content over .08, improper lane usage and running a red light.

DUI Arrest

Robert A. Olson, 43, of Wauconda, is charged with DUI, DUI with blood alcohol content over .08, improper lane usage and failure to signal following a traffic stop on Quentin Road, north of Palatine Road around 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14.
