Palatine Police Blotter: Hearing Care Burglarized, DUIs and More

The following information was provided by the Palatine Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 13

Ashley J. Budz, 24, of Elgin, was charged with DUI, driving without headlights when required, disobeying a traffic control signal and improper lane usage after being stopped at 4:04 a.m. near the intersection of Smith Street and Colfax Street.

Brian P. Riley, 43, of Palatine, was charged with DUI, speeding and improper lane usage after being pulled over at 6:27 p.m. on N. Hicks Road.

Adam R. Bagus, 21, of Palatine, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and an equipment violation after being pulled over on Dundee Road at 4:03 a.m.

Aug. 17

, 305 E. Northwest Hwy., was burglarized sometime between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 17 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 18. Taken from the business was a Dell computer and monitor valued at $2,000 and a videotoscopy machine valued at $1,200.

Aug. 18

A 2011 black Cadillac SUV was burglarized sometime between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 18 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 19 in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue. Several items were taken including a tailor-made golf set valued at $1,200, a tan golf cap valued at $20, a white and red cap valued at $20 and prescription sunglasses valued at $100. The vehicle was unlocked at the time.

Aug. 18

A 2002 Saturn was burglarized around 9 p.m. in the 900 block of N. Sterling Avenue. Taken from the vehicle was a GPS unit valued at $100. The vehicle was unlocked at the time.

Aug. 20

Rian Salyers, 29, of Elgin, was charged with DUI and disobeying a traffic control device after being pulled over at 4:06 a.m. on Northwest Highway.
