Vandalism

An unkown offender(s) three 6-7 eggs at a condo building in the 2100 block of Oak Brook Circle on Feb. 10 between 1:13 a.m. and 1:15 a.m.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

An unknown offender(s) damaged the driver side mirror of a 2006 Cadillac SUV parked in the 1200 block of Parkside Dr. sometime between Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. and Feb. 11 at 8 a.m. The damage is estimated at $500.

An unknown offender(s) struck a windshield of a 2010 GMC SUV parked in the American Legion parking lot, 122 W. Palatine Rd. with an unknown object sometime between Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. and Feb. 10 at 9:30 p.m. The damage is estimated at $400.  

Criminal Damage to Property

An unknown offender(s) broke a bedroom window and forced an entry door to a vacant apartment in the 1300 block of north Ports O' Call sometime between Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. and Feb. 9 at 4 a.m. Damage estimates were not immediately available. 

An uknown offender(s) shattered a 6x6 glass window in a townhouse in the 300 block of S. Lancelot Ln. on Feb. 9 between 11:52 p.m. and 11:54 p.m. Damage estimates were not immediately available. 

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle

Uknown offender(s) smashed a window of a 2008 Dodge Avenger parked in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Evergreen Dr. on Feb. 9 between 10:10 p.m. and 11:20 p.m. The vehicle was then rummaged through and a black rectangular organizer that contained a vehicle owners manual, legal documents and personal checks were removed. The damage and loss are estimated at $350.

Uknown offender(s) stole various power tools from a 1999 Ford van parked in the Rogners Towing parking lot, 318 W. Colfax St. sometime between Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. and Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. Items taken from the vehicle included an air compressor, 2 skill saws, several nail guns, a drill set with batteries and 3 ladders. 

Theft and Retail Theft

Jennifer R. Cain, 35, of the 1100 block of E. Northwest Hwy. was arrested at Walmart, 1555 N. Rand Rd. on Feb. 11 at 2:50 p.m. Cain is charged with misdemeanor retail theft for taking $85.13 in miscellaneous clothing past the last point of sale. 

Driving Under the Influence

Richard Butler, 25, of the 5600 block of S. Hoyne St., Chicago was arrested for DUI in the 200 block of Northwest Hwy. on Feb. 9 at 2:35 a.m. Butler also was charged with DUI with a blood alcohol content of more than .08, improper lane usage, improper signal and improper turn.
