Officers confronted Castillo as he continued pounding on the apartment door, telling him to stop shouting and banging on the door because the people inside the apartment felt threatened and were afraid for their safety. Castillo refused the officers instructions and continued to cause a disturbance.

Officers informed Castillo that he was under arrest for disorderly conduct and attempted to take him into custody. Castillo refused to listen to the officers' commands and resisted their efforts, including attempting to “head-butt” and bite the officers multiple times.
