Car Strikes Pedestrian

The pedestrian stepped onto Williams Street when she was hit.

A car struck a pedestrian in Palatine Thursday morning as she started to cross Williams Street, police said.

Palatine Police commander Dave Daigle said the 27-year-old female pedestrian stepped into the path of a 32-year-old woman driving a car at about 7:45 a.m. Thursday. The incident happened near Randville road.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital, Daigle said. She was conscious when she was being transported. He said he doesn’t know her condition otherwise.

No one was ticketed in the incident. Both women are from Palatine.
