Palatine Stables Open House

FREE Palatine Stables Open House on June 10 includes free pony rides, tours and Show Team demonstrations.

Palatine Stables, a facility of the Palatine Park District, is hosting an Open House event on Sunday, June 10 from 11:00am to 3:00pm.  The Open House will be held at the stables, located at 1510 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.

Activities at the Open House will include $3 pony rides, free tours of the stables, and free riding demonstrations by members of the Palatine Stables Show Team. The Open House will also offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about the Show Team and lesson programs held at the stables. Stop by "Horse U" at the Open House for complete stables program details. Palatine Stables offers safety oriented programs that focus on all areas of horsemanship.  The variety of well trained school horses can accommodate all levels of riding, from introductory through the advanced hunter-jumper levels.

Introduction to Horsemanship is a class required for all new riders.  Class covers basic horsemanship skills including safety, grooming, tacking and basic riding skills, thus building a foundation for the continuing riding program.  New sessions begin the week of June 4.
