Palatine Park District Presents New Prenatal Yoga Class

Gentle Yoga Class begins September 15.

Palatine Park District presents Prenatal Yoga beginning Saturday, September 15. Classes will be held for 12 weeks from 8:45am to 9:45am at Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 North Hicks Road, Palatine. Instructor Amber Rynes will lead participants in a calm flowing class specifically tailored to expectant mothers. The class will focus on postures that strengthen, tone, and empower the pregnant body. We will work on pelvic floor toning, lengthening of tight muscles due to pregnancy, and breathing techniques to aid in the labor/birth experience. Students need not have a doctor’s note to participate, but should disclose any health concerns or issues to the instructor prior to the beginning of class. This gentle level yoga class is appropriate for pregnant women along with those who are simply new to yoga. The fee is $114 for Palatine Park District residents and $171 for non-residents for a 12 week session.

In addition to this prenatal yoga class, there are many yoga options at Palatine Park District including Vinyasa Yoga, Core Yoga, Yin/Yang Yoga, Yin Yoga, Gentle Yoga and Detox Flow.
