Palatine Children's Chorus Presents One Voice Festival

PCC will sing with three guests choirs from Sundling Junior High, Hoover Math & Science Academy, and St. Peter Lutheran School.

On Tuesday, April 2nd, four area choirs will come together to participate in the 3rd annual One Voice Festival. Palatine Children’s Choir, in an effort to extend the festival experience to singers on a local level, created the event in 2011. The event fills the void for singers who may be too young or unable to attend expensive festival trips. The One Voice Festival experience is offered free to area youth choirs. This year, four groups will be attending the festival, including the Treble and Intermezzo choirs from Palatine Children’s Chorus along with guest choirs from Sundling Junior High in Palatine, Hoover Math & Science Academy in Schaumburg, and St. Peter Lutheran School in Arlington Heights.

Julia Shaw, renowned children’s chorus conductor and clinician, will work with the singers as a group during the afternoon.  The singers will be provided with dinner followed by the One Voice Festival Concert at 7:00pm at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood Street, Palatine. During the concert event, the many voices from four individual choruses will come together to create One Voice.

Concert tickets are $5 each and are available at www.cuttinghall.org or through the box office at 847-202-5222. For more information on Palatine Children’s Chorus, visit www.thepcc.org or call 847-705-5123, x281.
