Annie Jr. at Cutting Hall

Acting Up and Class Act perform Annie Jr. on November 9 and 10 at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center.

Annie Jr. will be presented on Friday, November 9 at 7pm and Saturday, November 10 at 11am at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood Street, Palatine. The production will be performed by two of Palatine Park District’s acting programs: Acting Up and Class Act. Acting Up provides an introduction to theater for young and aspiring actors in the primary grades. Class Act is a youth theater program that allows young actors the opportunity to work on developing their craft. These programs focus on acting, singing, movement, theater games and scene study for their production of Annie Jr.

Annie Jr. tells the story of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan.  In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Roosevelt and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. Tickets are $6 per person and can be purchased at www.cuttinghall.org or 847-202-5222.

The mission of Palatine Park District is to provide a variety of safe, enjoyable and affordable parks and recreation facilities and activities that will enhance the quality of life by promoting good health and well-being for all residents and visitors of the Palatine Park District.
