Memorial visitation for Witold A. Sloniewicz will be held at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine on Sunday May 1 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday May 2 at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine. Interment will be private.
Witold was born on May 21, 1935 in Poland the son of the late Zdzislaw E. and Helena B. (Bukowiecka) Sloniewicz and passed away suddenly early on Monday April 25 at his home. He was a resident of Palatine for 20 years.

Witold has served as a family physician in Batavia and the surrounding communities for more than 15 years having retired in 1990.
Most important in Witold’’s life was his love for his family. He was the beloved husband of Teresa Sloniewicz; loving father of Margaret (Witold) Jalowiecki, Maggie (Anthony) Hearn and Anna (Fiancee Mark Neitzke) Sloniewicz; cherished grandfather of Przemek and Monika Jalowiecka, Anthony and Christopher Hearn; also cousin of Andrew (Slawa) Sloniewicz
