Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 4 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 5, 9:30 a.m. from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
Beloved husband of Margaret A. Levy; loving son of Florence (nee Clarence) Cooney, the late Francis Cooney and Anne (nee Foy) Cooney; loving father of Colleen (Michael) Lomma, Thomas P. (Jeanne) Cooney, Kathleen (John) Wargo, Debra (Chris) Lorden and Timothy P. Cooney; dear brother of Terrence (Joan) Cooney, Kevin (Julie) Cooney, Gregory (Solveig) Cooney, Peggy (Michael) Grunewald and the late Frances Anne Cooney and the late Michael Cooney; cherished nephew of Kathleen (Joseph) Cooney Connelly and many other aunts and uncles; proud grandfather of 13 and fond uncle of 9.
