Richard 'Dick”' Mario Azzaro, Sr., 74, Palatine

Visitation for Richard "Dick" Mario Azzaro, Sr., 74, of Palatine will be 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., in Palatine.

Prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home. Funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 455 N. Benton St., in Palatine. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.

Formerly of Chicago, Richard was a Palatine resident for 24 years. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 73. He enjoyed, cooking, gardening and fishing. Most of all, his family was everything to him.

Beloved husband of Janet M. (nee Borio) Azzaro; loving father of Nina (John) Mikuzis, Richard (Mary Pat) Azzaro Jr., Jennefer (Douglas) Klatt and Josephine (Kevin) Unwin; loving grandfather of Colette, John, Stephanie, Michael, Sam, Joseph, Allison, Grace, Sophia and Kevin; dear son of the late Michael and Josephine (Geraci) Azzaro; fond brother of Angela (late Anthony) Amici, Vince (Kathleen) Azzaro and Geraldine (Arnold) Sambel.
