Memorial mass for Philip H. Blaetz, 85, of Inverness, will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness. Father Terence Keehan will celebrate mass.
Philip was born April 16, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA, and passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at Good Shepherd Hospital, in Barrington.
Philip was a mechanical engineer and had a private pilot license.

Survivors include his wife, Mary J. (nee Brady) Blaetz; children, William (Beth) Blaetz and James (Maggie) Blaetz; grandchildren, Maxwell, Phillip, Allison, and Michael.
Philip was preceded in death by his daughter, Catherine C. Garner; parents, Philip H. and Mary J. (nee Reed) Blaetz.
