Visitation for Irene T. Adams (nee Tuttle), 80, of Palatine, will be held Monday, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Funeral Mass will be said Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL 60067; where she will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Bishop Andrew McDonald will officiate.
Irene was born on March 9, 1931 in New York City, NY the daughter of the late John W. and Anna (nee Benemio) Tuttle, and passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at her home.

Prior to retiring, Irene worked for 25 years as the principal’s secretary at Palatine High School. Irene also was an active volunteer with the Little Sisters of the Poor at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly in Palatine where she was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Beloved wife for 57 years of Kenneth N. Adams; loving mother of Kenneth (Laura), Brian, Dana and Rosemary Adams; cherished grandmother of Vincent Adams.

In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated for Little Sisters of the Poor C/O St. Joseph Home.
