Gary G. Drennon, 70

Memorial visitation for Gary G. Drennon will be held on Thursday, July 26 from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 41 South Rohlwing Road, Palatine.  Interment will be private.

Gary was born on May 29, 1942 in Britton, OK, the son of the late Gene Lee and Ola (nee Pritchett) Drennon and passed away on Saturday, July 21 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights after short battle with Leukemia.

Gary had been employed by Abbott Labs for 25 years prior to his retirement.  Most recently, Gary worked for Consolidated School District 15 of Palatine as a bus driver.  One of the hobbies Gary enjoyed was being a Ham Radio Operator. 

Gary was the beloved husband of Vicki J. (nee Starks), whom he would have been married to for 50 years in September of this year; dear son of Ola Drennon; loving father of Eric (Rena) Drennon and his children, Mika and Naomi Drennon; fond brother of Linda Vela and Sandra (James) Wells; also uncle to several nieces and nephews and his beloved Cindy (Paul) Wang and her children, Megan and Matthew Wang.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in memory of Gary for Christ Lutheran Church, 41 S. Rohlwing Road, Palatine, IL 60074.
