The visitation for Daniel Paul Doles, Jr. 60, of Palatine will be held Friday, Oct. 5, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral will be on Saturday, October 6, at 10 a.m. from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine to St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine for Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Daniel Paul Doles, Jr., of Palatine. Daniel passed away on October 3, 2012, after a very tough battle with lung cancer.
He was born on March 2, 1952, to Elizabeth "Betty" and the late Daniel P. Doles, Sr. Danny was very active in sports and loved to be involved in family gatherings. Recently he became a member of the Knights of Columbus and was looking forward to getting involved in their many activities.

A loyal Bears fan, Daniel would enjoy getting together to watch the games with family members. His "one-liner jokes" will be missed. Daniel past employment included Kehe and DPI Specialty Foods. He was a Boy Scouts leader, a soccer and baseball coach. He also played soccer and referred the games.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Katie"; sons, Jeffrey (Jill) and Daniel III (Marla); grandchildren, Isabella "Bella" and Jimmy; mother, Elizabeth Doles; brothers and sisters, Gary (Mary), James (Mary), Billy (Kelly), Dorri (Mark) Hauser and Cathy Flanagan; and 19 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Daniel's name to Kellogg Cancer Center, Glenbrook Hospital, 2180 Pfingsten Road, Suite 1000, Glenview, IL 60026 would be appreciated.
