Catherine Ann Padula, 82

Lifelong dedication to nursing.

Catherine Ann Padula, 82, a resident of St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, Palatine, passed away on June 28.

 Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 5, 3-8 p.m., at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL. Mass of the Resurrection, Wednesday, July 6, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Home. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. 

Catherine was born on September 27, 1928 in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of the late Richard J. and Genevieve H. (Zix) Fox and passed away on Tuesday June 28th. She had a life-long dedication to nursing, working as a nursing instructor at Morton College in Cicero and serving as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She proudly served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Matthew Parish Schaumburg and a member of the Secular Franciscan Order.

Catherine was the beloved wife of the late Michael Padula; loving mother of  Mary (late Dan) Cassin, Barbara (Greg) Michigan, cherished grandmother of Kevin (Johnise), Tim and Lisa Michigan and Diana Cassin, great grandmother of Clotilde and Dean Michigan; fond sister of Sr. Mary Theresa Fox D.C. (twin), Richard (late Gloria) Fox Jr., Dorothy (Frank) Kolbaba, Genevieve (Norbert) Serocki and the late Anita Ritzler and Donna Fox; sister-in-law of Ron Ritzler; proud aunt of many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for Little Sisters of the Poor, c/o St. Joseph Home for the Elderly.
