A panel of speakers will discuss comprehensive immigration reform at 7:00 pm on Monday, May 20th at Countryside Church Unitarian Universalist, 1025 N. Smith St., Palatine. The theme of the program is "Immigration Reform - Good for Business, Good for People."

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs says that "the nation's broken immigration system is holding back the region's economic growth and clouding its future." Comprehensive immigration reform can improve workers' rights, meet the needs of local businesses for low and highly skilled workers, and enable so-called DREAMers to fully contribute to society.

The wide-ranging speaker panel includes representatives from Chicago Workers Collaborative, L@YAL youth project of DuPage County, amd the Illinois business community. There will be time for questions and discussion on this important topic. Come and share your thoughts and learn how the proposed legislation will affect the Illinois economy and its communities.
