Closer to Crocus

Purple Crocus.

Although we are still living through our midwest winter, I can feel the anticipation of spotting that first cluster of crocus on the side of the house as spring beckons.

It  is not unusual for crocus to  show themselves during a late snowfall.

After a colorless winter, other than an occasional hollyberry showing itself here and there, seeing the virbrant colors of the crocus awakens our senses and reminds us

that the best is yet to come as March, April and May unfold.
