Report: Palatine Needs More Senior Housing in Future

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning conducted a housing study of five towns in the northwest suburbs and recently released its report.

The village of Palatine is hoping to use data collected from a regional report to help plan for its future housing needs.

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning conducted a housing study and recently released its report, "Homes for a Changing Region," which provided suggestions for "long-term housing policy plans" for Palatine, Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Mount Prospect and Rolling Meadows, according to the Chicago Tribune

Kevin Anderson, Palatine's assistant director of planning and zoning, told the Chicago Tribune that one of the report's main suggestions — to add more senior housing — did not come as a surprise but the report did address ways for the village to meet those needs.
