Palatine Annual Tree Lighting Illuminates

This year's tree lighting ceremony did not disappoint. Santa rode in on a fire truck, lit the tree and visited with the little girls and boys. Refreshments were enjoyed, as Christmas music filled the air.

The night was brisk, and the annual tree lighting was as festive and enjoyable as always.

Santa came to Towne Square with lights blaring atop the Palatine Fire Department fire truck he rode in on, and he lit the tree up against the dark, fall sky.

Holiday music was provided by the Do Re Mi Choir, Treble and Intermezzo Choir and Concert Honors Choirs. The Illinois Youth Dance Theatre showcased characters from their annual Nutcracker show.

Hot chocolate and cookies were served by Girlscout Troop 42264, and popcorn was provided by BMO Harris Bank.

Santa made time to sit with all the girls and boys who chose to visit in the Towne Square gazebo, and let him know what their Christmas present wish lists were.
