Members of the Harper College baseball team recently participated in the Harper College blood drive hosted by LifeSource on Feb. 5. In total, 22 players and head coach Cliff Brown donated blood.
According to the fact page of lifesource.org, every two seconds, someone needs blood. Each year, 4.5 million Americans would die without the help of lifesaving blood transfusions.
"This was a really great opportunity for us to give back. They told us donating blood could help save three lives," Brown said. "It's great to know we may be impacting 69 lives."
