September 22 Organ Concert
Andrew
Schaeffer to Perform a Re-dedication Recital on Immanuel’s Recently Refurbished
Wicks Pipe Organ
Immanuel Lutheran Church in
Palatine kicks off its third season of Music to Move Our Next Generation concerts
on Sunday, September 22nd, at 2:00 p.m.
“We have
recently completed a major renovation of our 3-Manual Wicks organ and Andrew
Schaeffer, who recently completed his Master of Music degree in organ
performance from the Yale School of Music will be our guest recitalist,” said
Ruth Ann Poppen, Immanuel’s director of music.
“We do hope you’ll be able to attend this exciting concert, the first in
our fall series of concerts.”
A reception will follow the
concert, providing guests with an opportunity to meet Mr. Schaeffer. Like all Music to Move Our Next Generation
concerts, this event is free and open to the public. All proceeds from a free-will offering will
be used for the restoration and renewal of the church’s impressive 1,800-pipe
Wicks organ.
