Township candidates speak at Republican January meeting

The Palatine Township Republican Organization (PTRO), the official Republican organization of Palatine Township, will feature the “Doing Things Better for Palatine Township” slate of Palatine Township candidates at their regular monthly meeting which is free and open to the public on Saturday, January 5th starting at 9:00 AM with the doors opening at 8:30 AM at the PTRO office at 839 N. Quentin Road in Palatine.


“Our meeting will feature the ‘Doing Things Better for Palatine Township’ slate of candidates that will be running in the February 26th Republican primary,” said Aaron Del Mar, Palatine Township Republican Committeeman.  “Come out and meet the candidates that are looking to lead our Township.”


The slate includes Sharon Langlotz-Johnson for Township Supervisor, Tom Kaider for Highway Commissioner, Kathy Allegretti for Clerk and Bill Pohlman, Art Goes, Kevin McGrane as well as Bill Huley for Trustee.  The slate is comprised of three incumbents and four individuals new to public office.  The incumbents are Goes, Huley and Langlotz-Johnson.  Allegretti, Kaider, Pohlman and McGrane are new candidates.

Founded in 2010 by newly elected Palatine Township Republican Committeeman Aaron Del Mar, PTRO coordinates the Republican Party’s efforts in the township.  Led by Del Mar and President Collin Corbett, PTRO promotes the foundational principles of the Republican Party, namely fiscal responsibility, personal accountability and limited, transparent government, and works to elect Republican candidates who espouse those principles.
