Peace Pole Dedication Ceremony

Come join us in the spreading of peace starting in your own backyard at the School of Metaphysics in Palatine, IL!

This Sunday, December 9th, students of the Palatine school will be planting a peace pole as a monument to peace at 2:00 pm. The president of the School of Metaphysics, Dr. Laurel Clark, will also be present at the dedication ceremony. This is an opportunity for people to come together, envision a world of peace and infuse these thoughts into the peace pole and the surrounding community.

The peace pole is a symbol that “living peaceably begins with thinking peacefully,” as is stated in the Universal Peace Covenant. This document was crafted by over two dozen spiritual teachers from 1996-7 to reflect humanity’s hope for peace. The pole will serve as reminder of this universal message, with “May Peace Prevail on Earth” written in English, Spanish, Persian and Chinese.
