Snow Expected for Palatine

A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Lake and Cook counties.

The first real snow of the season could arrive in Palatine Friday night or early Saturday morning.

Residents could find one to two inches of snow Saturday, although some areas of Cook County are expected to have three to five inches, according to a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service. Snow is expected to begin accumulating around midnight and continue Saturday morning.

The snow is expected to taper off into flurries and stop by Saturday afternoon.
