Rotary Club of Palatine's Installation for 2014-2015

Rotary Club of Palatine Installs 2014-2015 Officers and Board of Directors

 On Tuesday, July 1st, the Rotary Club of Palatine installed their new 2014-2015 officers and board of directors at Durty Nellie’s Restaurant in downtown Palatine.

Incoming offers include President Ben Hebebrand, President-Elect Oliver Girke, Vice President Jeff Johnson, Secretary Bob Heselbarth, Treasurer Matt Bickel and Sergeant-At-Arms Ken Spengler.  In addition, Dane Pinter, Ken Chalmers, Jim McLin, Jaime Suszek, Bill Buchta, Scott Thompson, Chuck Young, Al Stoeckel, Liz Noe, Jacqueline Knight, Kathy Millin, Paul McKown, Robert Steinberg, Dan Anderson, Dave Reiser, and Susan Strunk join the board as directors and liaisons to various club service projects.

 The incoming board of the Rotary Club of Palatine will serve a one-year term from July 2014 through June 2015.

 “The Rotary Club of Palatine represents our community so well, and I’m thrilled for our officers and committee chairs to serve in this dynamic service organization,” stated President Ben Hebebrand.  “We’ve accomplished so many things as a club these past 50 years, and we look to continue to shape ourselves and future members for continued excellence within our community.”

 Club membership chairs, Dane Pinter and Ken Chalmers, invite men and women of the Palatine community to learn more about Rotary.   Ken Chalmers explained, “Those interested in learning more about our impactful service organization are welcome to join us on Tuesday mornings.  We are always seeking individuals to build goodwill in our local community as well as around the globe.”

 Recently the Rotary Club of Palatine celebrated its 50th Anniversary and dedicated Rotary Plaza at the corners of Plum Grove Rd & Palatine Rd in honor of this milestone.

 Be sure to save the date for the Rotary Club of Palatine’s 7th Annual Oktoberfest taking place in downtown Palatine on Friday, September 19th through Sunday, September 21st.  All are welcome to attend this free event which includes authentic German food, beverages, and entertainment, along with Family Day Activities on Saturday.  Monies raised will support local community projects and charities.
