What was once a vibrant, colorful hotel has now become an empty building bordering Route 53 near Twin Lakes. What do you think would be the next best use for the former Hotel Bollero at 920 E. Northwest Highway?

The now vacant, former hotel building at 920 E. Northwest Highway has been in Palatine since 1982.
During its days as Hotel Indigo, the bright blues and greens on the building provided a pleasant sight as drivers came off or got on Route 53. Hotel Bollero took over after Hotel Indigo closed, but didn't prosper for long.

"The project and developer are evidently not moving forward. The future plans for this property are not known to the Village and rest with the property owner," said Ben Vyverberg, director of planning and zoning.
