CORRECTION: Palatine Bars, Restaurants Serve Up Super Bowl Specials

Super Bowl LXVII is right around the corner, and if you don't already have plans to view the most watched television sports program of the year, these local bars and restaurants in Palatine have you covered.

As expected, multiple restaurants will show the game Sunday night. Some will even have drink specials and deals on one of the most popular food choices for Super Bowl viewing: hot wings.

If you and your football-watching crew want to avoid party preparation and the large groups in your own homes, visit some local hot spots and let them do all the work.

Here's a short list of bars and restaurants to consider for watching the game:

Lamplighters Inn: 

• Lamplighter Inn, 60 N. Bothwell St., Lamplighters buffet is FREE, raffles include Landshark Beach Bike, Grills, Mini Party Frig, Goose Island Pop up Tent and many other items...raffles are free for anyone over 21 (must be present to win), and great drink specials all day. BIG screen in the dining room, open to everyone! In addition to FREE buffet...full menu is available.

• Durty Nellie's, 180 N. Smith St., will be giving away a 40-inch T.V., iPad and Blackhawk tickets at 5 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. Drink specials include $2.50 Bud/Bud Light, $5 pitchers of Bud/Bud Light, $4 pints of Goose Island and Shock Top products, $4 Jameson and $3 for a 49ers or Ravens shot. A $9.99 buffet will include wings, sliders' bar, pizza, loaded skins and more. 

• 53 W. Slade St., will roast up a 100-pound pig and will also offer side dishes and healthier choices for free to customers on Super Bowl Sunday. TJ O'Brien's will be giving away a free mini-fridge and Weber Grill. The bar will also have giveaway drink deals during the big game.
