Veteran's Thanksgiving

Help a veteran - buy a turkey for their Thanksgiving Dinner

There are thousands of veterans living in Illinois that struggle each and every day to provide food for their families. These people went to war for us and now the government is falling short in helping them. The Illinois Veterans Foundation is working to provide an appropriate Thanksgiving for as many of these American Heroes as possible. With just 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, they are short about 140 turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner. Can you imagine 140 veterans not getting Thanksgiving dinner? Neither can I. I know we can find a way to help them. Each turkey is $15 and you can go to

and donate the $15 online. In addition, there are a list of places you can drop off other non-perishables for their Thanksgiving dinner.

I know not everyone can afford to give with the economy. But, if you can, PLEASE donate and SHARE this on your facebook page and if one of your friends donates and shares on their page, and their friend shares and donates on their page , (and so on) we'll have those 140 turkeys in a matter of hours. I helped can you?
