PIAC and Jaycees Call For Artists For Art Affair Around the Square

The Palatine/Inverness Arts Council and the Palatine Jaycees are taking artist applications for their 8th Annual juried art fair, “An Art Affair Around the Square” on September 8th and 9th from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Towne Square in Downtown Palatine at the corners of Smith Street and Palatine Road.

Artists from all specialties, including water color, acrylic, oil, pottery, fine jewelry, stained glass, pastels and others are encouraged to apply.  Applications can be found online at palatinejaycees.org or by emailing jayceeartfair@yahoo.com or events@palatineinvernessarts.org.  There is a nominal entry fee and artists will be notified of their acceptance once the art has been juried.

“We have been encouraged by the diversity of artists that have participated in the past and want to continually bring new talent to the show,” said Show Chair, Chrissy Trilling-Raices.  “This is a quality juried art show and presented as a celebration of all forms of art, from the traditional to the contemporary.”
