Walk for the Heart this Weekend in Palatine, Chicago Area

A walk in Palatine this weekend will help raise funds for the American Heart Association.

This year’s Metro Chicago Heart Walks will gather over 25,000 walkers across four locations, including in Palatine. The goal is to raise $3 million for the American Heart Association’s research, educational and awareness programs in Chicago and across the country, according to a release from the American Heart Association.

The Palatine walk takes place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, at Harper College.

The non-competitive walks feature one- and three-mile routes and a free family-friendly health festival that includes food, games, giveaways, health screenings, entertainment and much more.
