Final Bagged Yard Waste Pick-Ups This Week

If you have bagged yard waste and bundled brush, it should be placed at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on your normal refuse and recycling collection day.

This is the final week that bagged yard waste and bundled brush will be picked up by the Village of Palatine. 

Residents are asked to place the bags by the curb at or before 6:30 a.m. on your normally scheduled refuse and recycling day.

According to the Village of Palatine website, requirements include: 

  • All yard waste (grass or shrubbery clippings and leaves) shall be disposed of in 30 gallon, two-ply brown paper yard waste bags. No plastic bags, boxes, or containers are permitted for yard waste disposal. Each bag shall not exceed 60 pounds in weight.
  • Branches or limbs cannot exceed four inches in diameter and shall be bundled in lengths not to exceed four feet. Bundles shall be secured with biodegradable cotton twine or rope. Bundles shall not weigh more than 60 pounds.
