VIDEO: Hunting Ridge Elementary Sings for Vets

It was an afternoon filled with song and praise at Hunting Ridge Elementary as students welcomed visiting veterans from Mount Prospect VFW Post 1337 and American Legion Post 525, who've been coming to the school every Veterans Day for more than 15 years.
Students honored the veterans by explaining the different branches of the military and performing a selection of patriotic songs including "Semper Paratus;" "The Army Goes Rolling Along;" "The Marine's Hymn;" "You're a Grand Old Flag;" and "I'm So Proud to be an American," among others.
The veterans also posted colors and engaged the students in their knowledge of what Veterans Day means and spoke of how the service and sacrifice of veterans assured our freedom.
