They MAY, or may not, what they certainly will do I make lawyers a bunch of cash. so sad. My prayers go out to the family and friends of this boy. Blaming doesn't get anyone closer to closure, nor can it ever undo any of what has been done.

ReplyUnfortunately all these lawsuits and blaming others cannot undo what was done.
This 19 YO was partially responsible, he didn't HAVE TO participate, unfortunately he chose to, which was the wrong choice.
Kids this age have been having parties and drinking at colleges for decades, How is this different than those? This one has a victim, and a lawyer, and it is a shame that it happened, but again, Lawsuits and lawyers cannot undo what has been done.
Why aren't they suing the company who makes the alcohol too, lets blame everyone the lawyer can list because that will fix this as well. -

ReplyYou know that black handled sprayer that come out of the base of the sink next to the regular faucet in the kitchen? a small piece of electrical tape holds the handle down so when somone turns on the water, it sprays them in the shirt, LOL. We did that every year as a kid and it never got old.. I guess the new sinks don't have the same design, darn..

All those folks over there would probably freak if a fast food place went in was there. YI still think a Buffalo Wild wing at almost any of these locations would be great..
And uncle, what are you talking about? Anthem Grill was at Euclid and Quentin, and that isn't a dangerous intersection at all.. -

Trying to get out North of there onto Dundee (by Sonic) going West has literally taken me 15 minutes in the past. Unfortunately the tax revenue the Walmart brings in is essential to the Palatine, it won't go away unless people stop going there. It's probably more than all the other businesses in that complex combined..

ReplyWhy aren't the politicians who sold this tax as being temporary getting mad that someone is changing what they did? Oh wait they did their 8 years and all they want now is their free money (pensions).
it does need to be rolled back, it's a matter of principle. but in reality I'm still waiting for the tollways to stop collecting. And still waiting for all the lottery money to save our public schools.

I kind of liked Famous Daves, not the best BBQ, but a good affordable place to bring the kids, It was always clean as well. Anyone know why they closed? Just not enough business?

So sad this happened, glad everyone is OK. The fact they robbed a Verizon store just tells you that they are amateurs. They will be caught as soon as those devices are activated, Not too smart. But then again, these folks are criminals, they aren't using their brains anyway. As for the housing comment, many of the folks living there are honest, hard workers. I agree there is more crime in that area (north Palatine) but the police are fully aware of that and they are doing the best they can.
