Jennifer DeFranco is a committed education, youth and global health advocate from Illinois and currently serves as the 2013 Convention Director for the Illinois PTA. Additionally she is a social media consultant for the Illinois PTA and a Social Media Ambassador for the National PTA.  She also served as the 2010 Illinois delegate to the Mom Congress at Georgetown University and currently serves as a mentor for the 2011 delegation, presenting on bullying prevention. She also serves as the chairman for the Standardized Testing Review Committee for the Illinois State Board of Education in Springfield.  

She is a former leader for Girls Scouts, serves as a board member and coach for Celtic Soccer, sits as a trustee on the District Fifteen Educational Foundation and serves as confirmation coordinator for the All Saints Lutheran Church in Palatine.   She is the mother of two outstanding children and a wife to an exceptionally wonderful husband.   You can follow her on Twitter at jendefranco.
